Objective
Students will gain a deeper understanding of how Jesus embodies hope in the Beatitudes and how God’s promises sustain us through life’s trials. They will reflect on their own experiences and be encouraged to share their personal testimony, showing how hope has sustained their faith.
Warm Up
Before the youth arrive, tape the word “Hope” on a prominent spot on the wall (or on a table for smaller groups).
As the youth enter, give each a sticky note and pen. Ask them to write down one hope they have for their future or something they are currently praying about. Once they finish, have them place their sticky notes on the word “Hope.”
Transition
Hope in Jesus is grounded in God’s promise that He will never leave us, no matter what. The Beatitudes lay a foundation for this hope, teaching us that our ultimate goal is Heaven, and that our current trials are not in vain.
The Video
As we watch the video, remember that “hope does not disappoint” because God’s love has been poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit.
Let’s invite God’s presence as we reflect on the hope we have in Him.

Bible Study
Hope isn’t just about looking forward to Heaven; it’s also about enduring the struggles of life with Jesus as our guide. The Beatitudes provide a roadmap for the Christian life, offering us hope even in difficult times.
Read Matthew 5:3-12
Read Hebrews 6:19
Invite a pre-selected witness to share a short testimony about a time they faced trials but were sustained by God’s hope as an anchor.
Wrap Up
Sharing our testimony of hope is a powerful way to encourage others and remind ourselves of God’s faithfulness. When we share how God’s hope has sustained us, we help others see how God’s love and promises can carry them too.
Think of one person this week who might need to hear about the hope of Christ. Pray for them and look for an opportunity to share your story of how Jesus has been your anchor in life’s storms.
Close by praying the Lord’s Prayer together, as it beautifully encapsulates our hope in God’s love, His perseverance, and His promise of Heaven.
