Why Terrian?

Heart Of The Artist

What if you could partner in student ministry with a 20-something (just turned 30) Christian Artist who was mentored (8 years) in one of the most solid ministry-focused bands in Christian music? Well, that’s Terrian… female vocalist in TobyMac’s DiverseCity who also mentors young girls in Angel Street Choir the ministry she grew up in. And that’s why we are so thrilled to connect her with Team interlinc youthworkers.

TobyMac’s thoughts about the time Terrian was with DiverseCity, “What I love about being in DiverseCity is the family and the life-change. People’s lives are being changed out here by the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Terrian is a Godsend. A true worshipper with soulful chops… so thankful God made our paths cross.”

Terrian is a recording artist signed to Gotee Records whose soulful voice and heartfelt lyrics blend gospel, pop, and soul influences. Raised in Memphis, Tennessee, she first gained national attention as a member of TobyMac’s DiverseCity band before stepping into her own as a solo artist.

Her full-length debut album, Give It Time (2024), featured songs like the Top 10 multi-chart single “Honestly, We Just Need Jesus.” That same year, she made her national television debut on Fox & Friends, earned three K-LOVE Fan Award nominations, received a Dove Award nomination for New Artist of the Year, and made her Grand Ole Opry debut. Her new album Mad Big World (2026) is in the Back-To School YLO and is loaded with great songs that encourage students to face their great big world with courage and joy with Jesus at the center of their lives.

Terrian is passionate about her partnership with Eight Days of Hope, a national organization that responds to disasters across the country, helping rebuild homes, communities, and lives, and spreading the hope of the gospel nationwide. Terrian and EDOH are working to create awareness about the impact of human trafficking and the growing need for safe houses.
