Brian and Tyler both started playing guitar in high school, then met through mutual friends at college in Nashville. They released their first EP in 2010 and have garnered some great success with number one country hits.
What Are Their Messages
The cowboy-party lifestyle makes up the bulk of their songs, with a love-lost song thrown in for good measure. The songs are catchy and it’s easy to get pulled into the “live for now, no consequences” messages. Alcohol takes center stage on songs like “Tip it Back” and “Get Your Shine On”.
What Does A Youthworker Need2Know
Party anthems are just that, whether with a banjo or an electric guitar. Although rhinestones and moonshine may be a lot of fun on a Friday night, FGL does not provide much substance and hope beyond regret-laden party weekends.
