Who Is He
Blake Tollison Shelton (born June 18, 1976) is an American singer-songwriter, actor, and television personality. Shelton was born in Ada, Oklahoma where he began singing at the age of 12, after being taught how to play the guitar by his uncle. By age 15, he had written his first song. By age 16, he had received a Denbo Diamond Award in his home state. Shelton also released his self-titled debut album, “Austin” in 2001 which spent five weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Since that time, Shelton has charted 33 singles, including 24 number ones, 17 of which were consecutive in the country charts. He is an eight-time Grammy Award nominee. He is also known for being seen on the big screen in the television singing competition The Voice as well as several films.
